Kansas City Tamil Sangam: Kodai Kaala Kondattam

INDIVIDUAL TALENT COMPETITION - Kids and Adults
Demonstrate your talents in 3 minutes.
The participants' minimum age is 4 (four).
Dancing, Singing, Stage Performance, Drama, and a novel fancy dress show or any unique talent.

Rules: 1. One entry per contestant.
          2. Performance time is 3 minutes. In and out of the stage is not included.
          3. Performance will be video recorded and Judging will be done later using the video.
          4. Winners will be selected based on the following criteria. Presentation, Confident, Preparedness and use of Tamil.
          5. Participant should bring all necessary materials for their talent show.

DRAWING COMPETITION - Kids
Preschool – Kindergarten - Coloring a Page
Grades 1, 2, 3 - Mountain View / Bridge View
Grades 4, 5, 6 - Family Eating Watermelon / Environment Pollution
Grades 7, 8, 9 - Scenery – Kodai Kaalam
Grades 10, 11, 12 - Draw an Indian Face / Draw an important place in India

Rules: 1. KCTS will provide only the drawing paper.
           2. Kids should bring their own drawing, coloring materials.
           3. Drawing work can be done using pencil, crayon, charcoal, watercolors and etc.
           4. Duration : 90 minutes
           5. Parents are not allowed to stay with the participants during the contest.

KOLAM / RANGOLI COMPETITIONS -Adults
It is time for you to show case your talent.
Create the bright and colorful design using traditional Indian art.

Rules: 1. KCTS will provide the board to do the Kolam / Rangoli.
          2. Participants should bring their own materials and color powders.
          3. Participants can be Single or Group [Max 3 Members].
          4. Duration : 3 hours

+ Pongal [Sweet/Ven] Competition Details May 8th, 2010 at 1:00 p.m.

PONGAL [Sweet/Ven] COMPETITION -Adults
It is a Thithikkum Pongal making contest. Take your time! Cook at home! Bring it on May 8th.

Rules: 1. Participant must be at the age 18 and above.
2. Participants should prepare and bring a minimum of 4 cups of Sweet or Ven Pongal
3. Judges choices are final. Items need to be present at the venue by 1:00 pm on May 8th, 2010
